Jeff, a good friend of mine and talented creative, tapped me for design and branding on his masterpiece of a film called “Yardbird". Yardbird is a short comedy about a man who attempts to break into a retirement community to get face to face with his estranged father. I was tasked with mirroring that comedic and nostalgic energy into identity for title cards and illustrations used in film and promotional assets. Inspired by the sometimes twisted comedic nature of the looney tunes and works of that period, we crafted a whimsically ironic type treatment and style to accompany the story.

To accompany the Cartoonish and graphic nature of the typre treatments, I developed a series of spot illos showcasing easter eggs seen throughout the film along with a featured Caricature of the main Protagonist Jeff, and a supporting Character Eddy.
